In 2013, Dale F. Wolff joined his daughter, Kirsten W. Osteen at McDevitt Osteen Chojnicki & Deters. He had been senior attorney at Taylor Law Offices, P.C. of Effingham, Altamont, Flora and Springfield, Illinois for nearly 30 years. Mr. Wolff concentrates his practice in estate planning, wills, trusts, estate settlements, elder law and real estate.
Mr. Wolff holds a Bachelor of Science degree in agriculture from the University of Illinois and a Juris Doctor degree from Valparaiso University School of Law. He served as Effingham County Assistant State’s Attorney in 1977 and 1978, and was an owner of Effingham Title Company for over 23 years. He is past president of the Illinois Land Title Association and past president of the Effingham County Chamber of Commerce. Mr. Wolff is a facilitator trainer for Effingham County Vision 2020 project through the Pacific Institute of Seattle. He has served on the St. Anthony Memorial Hospital Institutional Review/Ethics Committee and served 7 years as a board member for the Church Extension Fund for the Central Illinois District of the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod. He also served 3 terms as a member of the Supreme Court Committee on Character and Fitness for the Fifth Judicial District and he is an Ombudsman for the Fourth Judicial Circuit of Illinois.
Mr. Wolff has held numerous offices, including president and elder at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Altamont, Illinois. He and his wife, Jeanne, are parents of four children and grandparents of 11 grandchildren.
In 2008, Mr. and Mrs. Wolff were honored as Citizens of the Year by the Altamont Chamber of Commerce.
Mr. Wolff is well known in Central Illinois for his seminars on estate planning and charitable gifting and has donated countless hours to serve charitable causes.
